Comments:

This is a very unusual Baron in history and avionics. In 1964 at 74 hours total time, it was damaged during a rejected takeoff. It was then moved inside a hangar until 1980 when it was rebuilt and restored. There have been no problems since the damage, and there are no visual signs of any damage.

The restoration was finished in 1981 and for the next 9 years was brought up to specs unlike any other Baron I know of. The owner installed avionics from a Cessna Citation Jet. The Collins AP 107 came out of this jet and has an enlarged attitude indicator, HSI, yaw dampner, and electric trim cut off switches. The autopilot has been flawless all these years and flies the plane better than any I've experienced. There is a mix of old and new for the rest of the panel, but all work well, and the older stuff works just as well, if not better than the KX-155.

The owner went over board in other ways such as having a separate Hobbs meter for the airframe total time, engines, and heater.

The current owner has owned this Baron since 1990 and has kept excellent care of it. As a former airline pilot, he knew how to fly the plane properly which is displayed on the engines having 1550 hours on them and still running perfectly. I have had friends fly these IO-470 engines over 2400 hours without a problem.

The paint was done in 1981 and still looks excellent. The interior is original, and also is in excellent condition. However, the interior is dated, and the greens do not match the exterior earth tan colors.
