Paint, Interior and Glass

-Paint is very attractive white with unique blue and red stripes. Paint would be a 9/10, but it has a clear nose cone cover that has slightly yellowed. Due to this, I'd rate the paint an 8/10.

-Interior is very attractive leather. All the plastic is vinyl wrapped. All is excellent and rated a 9/10.

-Glass is excellent with no flaws

-Boots shine like new and have no patches.

Damage:

One hundred hours ago this plane was being towed out of the hangar. There was a small slope coming out of the hangar and the tow bar slipped off of the tug and the plane and tow bar rolled down the ramp where the tow bar took a sudden stop on the concrete and caused the nose gear rods to break and buckle. The plane ended up on its nose. The right prop had some small damage to it. The left prop was untouched. As a precaution, the prop and engine was sent off for a tear down and inspection. The same prop was overhauled, and the engine was opened and inspected according to continental motor’s specs. There is no sign of any damage after the nose gear was overhauled.

History:

This Baron was first owned by a family in the state of Washington who had homes there and in Arizona. The plane was kept and maintained in both places.  The next owner was national aerobatics champion, Mike Goulian, of New Hampshire who used it for his personal transportation.  Next was a neurosurgeon at the University of Oklahoma.  Most recently was a doctor in Bismarch, ND. I have been involved with this plane before and after the neurosurgeon and now.

Comments:

I specialize in Colemill President II barons having owned and sold 25 in the last four years. The nicer of these have sold for prices from $240,000 - 315,000. I would rate this one as being maybe the second nicest one in existence. It certainly is the lowest time one, and one of the last ones built by beech in their last year of 1982.
The history of the plane and its records are the best that I have seen. Each owner has maintained this baron to the highest standards. It is the best rigged baron I have ever flown. There was another that was equal, but not better.
This one with the winglets has exceptional high altitude performance. I’ve personally flown this one about 30 hours and it still climbs at 500 fpm at 18,000’. At FL 180, you will see 180 KTS TAS on 18 GPH total fuel flow. The winglets also help in stabilizing the airplane better than an electric yaw dampener.
I have personally owned over 400 airplanes, and the Colemill President II is my favorite airplane, and N6140N is my favorite President II.
