Paint and Interior:
Comments:
I owned this plane in 1998 and sold it to a friend of mine in Palm Springs in 1999 after the converson. He flew it almost to TBO until 2006 when I sold it to a L.A. attorney who had the go around with shorter prop blades after his landing. In 2008 I sold it to the current Texas owner who put 600 hours on it. During all of this time, there has never a cylinder, or any other engine related problem. I used to lease these Rockets out to a local company. They made it to TBO everytime, with never a cylinder or turbo problem.
One thing to note, the Garmin 430W is the the only nav. There are two comms, but one built in nav. The 396 is there in case you're having a bad day.
The paint looks great from 20'. As you get closer you will see a number of wear chips on leading edges. This is what drops it to a 6. The interior is very acceptable and comfortable, but there are some cosmetic items which holds it down to an average rating.
Engine runs great, low oil consumption with high compressions. Absolutely no fuel leaks. Useful load is 1047 lbs. Plane has been flown regularly and not sitting for any length of time.
