It has been my good fortune to have met Mark Hegg through a mutual friend six years ago. I was looking for a light aircraft to buy and Mark agreed to see if he could find some thing in my price range. He found an excellent 1987 F-33 Turbo Bonanza which was every thing he said it was. I have since traded back with Mark for a B-55 Baron which has been a real pleasure to own. Mark is very Knowledgeable of light aircraft and you can trust what he tells you about any aircraft he is representing. Mark is not like your typical aircraft/car salesperson, He is honest and totally trustworthy and the only person I would use to purchase or sell my aircraft.

Mark,
When I tell people of how I bought my Bonanza from you without ever seeing the airplane they are in shock. How could you have made such an investment with a person you never had met and an airplane you never had seen, they ask. Then when I describe the process we went through with us getting to know each other and me getting to know the airplane via e-mail, they are even more amazed. Maybe it is amazing that two individuals could grow to trust each other via electronic means. The point is that it worked and the outcome was even better than I had hoped for. The important elements are that the airplane was everything you said it was. The agreement we had that if it was not, the deal was off and you would refund my money made me very comfortable and probably convinced you that I was serious. Even the delivery arrangements were somewhat unique in that you flew the airplane to Virginia on the understanding that the certified check would be waiting based upon my agreement that it was everything you said it was. The checkout you provided and the follow on instruction by e-mail got me off to a solid start in this great airplane. I have enjoyed our association and am very impressed with your knowledge of all things aviation. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who is in the market for an airplane.
 Warm Regards,

Mark Hegg is the "Real Deal".  During the purchase process of Bonanza 58BR,  he re-arranged his schedule to fly the aircraft from Colorado to Texas and LEAVE it for a pre-purchase. He made it possible for me to talk to the actual owner to answer any questions that I had regarding performance and maintenance history - both things that most salesmen try to avoid. Only a very competent and reputable salesman would have gone to that length to accommodate, BECAUSE  he knew that he was truthfully representing the aircraft.  The airplane was exactly what we had expected, and the closing process went very smoothly using an escrow agent which he had recommended.  The whole process was painless, quite unlike the war-stories I have heard from some of my friends.  Marks way of doing business has not only created a lot of repeat customers (of which I will be one), but also a lot  of  FRIENDS!

Dear Mark,

I have done business with a lot of people over more than five decades. Few experiences have been as pleasant as dealing with you. We first met as strangers, in 1999, as you offered a Baron on the internet.

Our association began with a mutual agreement on a price for that Baron. I had it inspected in Boulder by a shop of my choice, accepted it, and took delivery there; then we flew together to Wichita by way of a long checkout for me. I dropped you off and a few days later you called to ask how I liked my new Baron. “Fine” I said, but I mentioned that I was still in Wichita, having had to change out a starter adapter because an alternator was shucking belts, repeatedly.

”That has never happened to me on that Baron” you said.

I thought “Sure, Mark”... but I said nothing. The next thing you said was that you wanted all the expenses from that work billed to you. I demurred as I had already bought the plane and felt that I had had every chance to reject it. You again insisted. I again declined your offer.

Ultimately, you insisted so hard that I did let you pay for the adapter; by then I had realized that, in fact, you never had seen a belt shuck off that plane, and it was very important to you that I understand that was the case. So began a long and trusting friendship.

I wrote a new Last Will recently; and attached a letter to my Executor suggesting useful contacts. In that letter, I told him to call you for advice on any matters relating to aircraft that I might own at my death. “Utterly trustworthy” I told him...about you. Two words only.

Now, I never said you would give an airplane away to a buyer. It’s just that whatever you say...the other party can count on.  But what else matters?

As I write this in 2006, we have become very close friends. I have also learned that you have similar friendships with many of your business associates. No one who knows you is in any way surprised at that.

Well the decision was made, I finally was going to do it. I had decided to buy an airplane. The problem, other than convincing the wife, was that I had not piloted an aircraft in twenty-three years. I was out of contact with the aviation sector for so long that I did not know the value and is some cases the capabilities of the aircraft available.

I jumped into the challenge as most do, Trade-A-Plane and the Internet. Out with the spreadsheet that lists the capabilities and options of each aircraft, time left on the engine, links to the photographs and location, one does not want a potential corrosion problem out of Panama. After several months of categorizing potential aircraft and looking at everything we could locally I ran into Mark Hegg.

I immediately hit it off with Mark, besides the fact that we were both from South Dakota, his unassuming and straight forward manner was refreshing, he was easy to deal with. I was looking at a Cessna 182 however the current owner was not readily available so we were using Mark as the intermediary. I was surprised how well this worked, Mark was always available with either the right solution or suggestion. He has been through the process of aircraft change of ownership so many times that there was not a situation that came up that he had not previously been through. The transaction occurred effortlessly and from the time of decision until we owned the aircraft was only a matter of a few weeks.

One other point. Since I now owned an airplane I could not fly it because the last time I was current was in the summer of 1983. They changed the airspace on me, I did not know what was going on. Mark graciously offered to check me out knowing how out of practice I was.

I recommend Mark Hegg. His demonstrated experience and good will immediately allows for the development of mutual trust.

I have known and done business with Mark Hegg since the spring of 1999. I was referred to him by one of his customers.

Our first dealing was for Mark to find a Mooney 231 to be converted to a 305 Rocket. Mark was very particular about not only finding a sound 231, but also at the "right" price. He handled every aspect of equipping the aircraft from avionics and accessories to the conversion itself to include the delivery. I flew that Rocket for 1700 hours and had Mark sell it in the fall of 2005. Although the market was soft at that time, he still was able to generate back all of the money I spent originally on this airplane.

Mark has also sold two of our other company aircraft, a Piper Cherokee 6 and a Cessna 414. He was able to get top dollar for both of those aircraft as well.

Mark is always honest and direct regarding what he thinks can be done whether buying or selling for a customer. He also kept me informed on the progress of my purchase and sale and provided me with realistic advice.

I would highly recommend Mark for any aircraft purchase whether a Piper Super Cub or a Turbine Twin. He has always delivered for me.

I have known Mark for over 20 years. I consider Mark a friend, mentor and colleague. I have been impressed with Mark as a person, as a pilot and his knowledge of aircraft and aircraft sales. Mark is a man of integrity and honesty. He is articulate, saying what he means and meaning what he says. I appreciate so much all your advice you have given me through the years and always being there to answer my questions. I feel so lucky that I learned of you, your expertise and your reputation. All of my contacts with you have been refreshing and most positive. You are a professional in every sense of the word. You have a great personality, work so well with people and demonstrate real skill in the manner you communicate official business. You are highly regarded in the aviation community and you exude confidence that engenders confidence in you.
That is why we call you the MAN!!!

Thanks for providing complete and much needed representation for selling Kip White's Mooney Rocket.  As you know, Kip died in a mountain climbing accident near Aspen and his family asked that I help arrange to sell his airplane. I turned to you and you really did all the work and got it sold in a difficult market (fuel prices were skyrocketing, which made the market for airplanes far quieter than it had been). You handled all the details of the closing with great expertise. I would certainly call on you again.

In the fall of 2004, we began the search for what has turned out to be the sixth (6th) airplane (in succession) that our family has owned. We were able to locate the absolute epitome of our desire which was a 1999 Beech A36 with about 350 hours total time. We engaged Mark to intervene in inspecting the airplane, negotiating the acquisition, and assisting in making the delivery. Not enough good can be said about the efficient, professional, and business-like approach that he brought to our deal. His long-standing experiences both as a pilot and in being involved in the acquisition and sale of aircraft proved easily worth its cost in making our project go smoothly and timely.

When it comes time for us to up-grade, the first place we will call is Mark Hegg --- not only for his professionalism, but because he is very likely to know of the best deal to be made in finding a home for our existing airplane, and where the best one is to replace it. Above all, Mark is a courteous and pleasant person to be with, which makes what might otherwise be a stressful and complicated experience in trading airplanes into one of ease and confidence.

With Mark you have a trusted expert on your side. Mark reduced the risk and eliminated the hassle from buying a used plane.

Mark,

As you know, I am a retired Airline Captain. During my tenure, besides accumulating about 25,000 hours of flying the line, I also worked in the Chief Pilots office as an assistant and spent 5 years in the standards and training department as a proficiency check airman on the Boeing 727 and 737. I mention this because I want you to know that I have been involved in flying for a lot of years and have personally owned a number of airplanes prior to having met you. When I called you in 1999 about the Mooney Rocket you had for sale, little did I know it would lead to a long lasting relationship and 3 airplanes. The Mooney Rocket was everything you said it was and more. It was such a good experience that I traded with you again for the Beech Bonanza V-35. That was such a nice airplane, once again everything you said it was and more, that after 3 years I traded with you for the Baron B-55. When it came to my attention that my brother-in-law wanted to sell his corporate Citation Jet, I referred him to you to sell it for him. As per normal, you represented that sale professionally and expeditiously. I mention all the above because I want to thank you for your honesty, integrity, and professionalism in every instance of my dealings with you. I have enjoyed our business relationship as well as our social relationship. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and we are probably not done doing airplane deals yet.

Thank You,

Dear Mark,

As you know, I am in the aircraft hangar business and that was the reason why we first met in Longmont in 1992. You bought a hangar from me that year and two others in subsequent years. In 1995 I bought a beautiful Bonanza from you and in 1999 you handled a trade transaction that brought me my current airplane, a Baron which I have enjoyed for almost 8 years.

I also worked for 6 years as the Chief Pilot for a corporation in Louisville, Colorado.  During that time we leased several different aircraft from you, which I personally flew for several thousand hours. I think it is safe to say that I have extensive experience in business dealings with you.

There are really only two reasons why I have continued to do business with you over the years, both as a buyer and as a seller. Those two reasons are trustworthiness and knowledge. I know that I can “take your word to the bank” and rely fully on what you tell me. I also know that when you tell me something about an airplane, it will be accurate and you will stand by your word. These qualities are the basis of commerce and you have been consistently true to these standards throughout our association.

Sincerely,

     - Keith Griffith

I first met Mark in April 2004 when an engineer in our office was looking to purchase a Mooney Missile he was selling. I have been a Mooney owner for the past 25 years, and was asked to fly out to Boulder to take a look at this Mooney. I had spoken to Mark several times, getting a mental picture leading up to our trip to look the plane over. When we saw the plane it was everything Mark said it would be and more. As we reviewed the logs and maintenance it became evident that Mark had been honest in his representation of this plane. Our engineer came to an agreement on price and committed to the purchase. Mark kept his word in every way as the process unfolded.

In October 2006 our company found ourselves in need of a plane to transport engineers and project managers to job sites out of state. We started looking and soon found ourselves frustrated, not knowing exactly what needed in the way of a plane. Our thoughts returned to our experience with Mark and hoping that we could tap into his wisdom and knowledge placed a call for help. Mark took over from there, helping us find the right plane then negotiating the price and terms. We had such confidence in Mark's integrity and honesty that we left all the details to him. Now we are the proud owners of a 1991 Baron 58. We have found it to be everything advertised.

Consider this as our highest recommendation of Mark Hegg!
