Comments:
I have owned five Aerostars, and the later model 600s are my favorite. Fast and economical. Most of the 600s are being used as freighters. I've seen a number of them used as freighters with 20,000 to 30,000 hours on them. Engines typically go a full 2,000 hours with little maintenance. Airframe was built to handle a jet engine, low maintenance push rod controls. The L3 9800 ADSB transponder has its own weather screen, traffic screen, wx data screen, and winds aloft screen. I like this unit and wanted to put it in my Mooney. The cost of this unit in my Mooney was $15,500. Both this and the Aspen were recently installed and both work great. 600A's with these low times are pretty rare. I throttle it back to 65% and get a TAS of 193-198 kts on 26 gph total, depending on altitude and weight. This gives me a 6.5 hr endurance, or 5.5 hr endurance, over 1,000 nm range, plus an hour reserve. Hydraulic system totally overhauled June of 2019 at a cost of $18,000. Aircraft is professionally flown.
