Comments:
This is a very nice Chieftain with great avionics. The last annual was very thorough and included a lot of work on removing exhaust corrosion under the nacelle baggage compartments. It was treated and repainted. No metal work was required. Everything works including all the cabin and panel lights. Flying behind the G00 TXI is a big change from the factory gauges. Engine management and workload is greatly reduced. I fly a number of piston twins including the popular FIKI late model 58 Barons. The Chieftain will run away from the non turbo Baron above 11,000’, and make mountain MEAs a no brainer, plus I’ve never heard anyone complain about riding in the back of a Chieftain. In my opinion, the only piston twin better than a Chieftain, is a C90 King Air, which isn’t a piston, and carries one less passenger.
