Paint, Interior and Glass:
One of the best paint and interior jobs I have seen. Five color paint, recently done. Near flawless. Interior also completely done, and near flawless. Upgraded insulation is install all the way around the cabin, making this the quietest, big engine, plane I have ever flown. Glass is excellent with tinted windows. . |
Comments:
I consider this airframe, married to this engine conversion, is the ultimate piston single. No over heat issues as found in the original engine. Rarely see over 390 CHT even in the climb. Will climb at 800-1000 fpm all the way up to FL 180 without any CHT exceeding 390. Cruise CHTs are 340-370. At 12,000', you will true out at 185-195 kts on a fuel flow of 16.3 gph with CHTs at or below 370. Cowl flaps are not needed to be open in cruise to keep temps down. In the lower flight levels, it will do 205-210 on the same fuel flow. The B36TC has the longest wing of any Beech single. It's basically a Baron wing which is 4' longer then the A36TC and A36. You really see the difference in climb above 10,000'.
