2002 Electric Gem Car                                                       Price: $4,000

    2002 GEM Utility truck.  This GEM is still being made by Chyrsler Corporation in North Dakota.  It is street legal and can be driven on streets with a posted speed of no more than 35 mph.  Top speed on this is 25 miles, with a range of about 30-40 miles.  I have never registered or licensed it, so may get some tax credit for an electric vehicle.
   I installed a ball hitch on the front as well as the one on the back.  I have used this exclusively at the airport to move planes in and out of hangars, and  across the airport.
   Everything is original except I installed a new, upgraded battery charger about 4 years ago.  Six 12 volt batteries were changed about the same time and are working fine.  It is kept in my heated hangar.  Never left outside.  Excellent condition.  MSRP when new was about $9600.
